FPC Ferry Beach Retreat 2017

Our church retreat at Ferry Beach is fast approaching (April 28-30). For those of you who are not familiar with the retreat, this is a weekend spent with FPC family and friends in an idyllic location on the ocean in Saco, Maine.

For some, the opportunity to do nothing but relax is paramount, but for others participation in different workshops and activities is relaxation in itself. Either way, we extend a warm welcome to everyone to come join us this year.

FPC Guest Table serves a community dinner on the first Friday of each month at First Parish Church of Stow & Acton. We welcome everyone from Stow, and its surrounding towns, who are looking for a sense of community, or just want a change of atmosphere.

Our next meal will be offered Friday, April 7th, from 5:30-6:30 PM. There is no charge for dinner, but donations are gratefully accepted. Laura Cortese & the Dance Cards

LC & DC is an all-female band performing Indie folk and Americana music.


Cellist Valerie Thompson (cello/voice), fiddler Jenna Moynihan (fiddle/voice), and bassist Natalie Bohrn blend their sophisticated string arrangements and rich vocal harmonies with band leader Laura Cortese’s poignant and powerful singing. The result is a sound that can start as a string band, and morph into a string quartet, female a cappella group, or indie band; all while staying honest and true to their identity as folk instrumentalists.

Power of Choice: Building Emotional Resiliency in our Youth

First Parish Church of Stow and Acton is honored to present a powerful presentation in support of youth and their parents. This event is open to all youth, their parents, educators and others concerned about our youth from FPC and surrounding towns. The workshop will be presented by Judy Giovangelo, who brings a message of hope, positive psychology, and tools to reduce stress and grow emotional resiliency in homes, schools, and the community. A Transylvanian Christmas - Vespers Service

Sunday, December 11th, 2016 - 5:00PM

On last year's trip to your partner church in Transylvanina, Romania, Mike Pfitzer, our music director, discovered a wonderful Christmas Cantata which will be the featured piece in this service. This very special Candlelight Vesper service will include a beautiful string orchestra prelude and The First Parish Adult Choir with guest soloists accompanied by a string orchestra and organ.
