Mo Kenney

Saturday, April 2nd, 2016 - 7:30PM

Her songs have won multiple awards, including the East Coast Music Award for Pop Recording of the Year in both 2014 and 2015.  Her song “I Faked It” won the folk division in the 2015 U.S.A. Songwriting Competition and she has been nominated for a fresh crop of prizes in 2016 for her new CD, In My Dreams.

She is known for her lyrical prowess and engaging stage presence.

“Folk, pop, scuzzy rock – she is clearly poised and ready to pounce.” Tony Clayton-Lea, The Irish Times

“In My Dreams is a confident, thoughtful… collection of tracks which contemplate each other, and ultimately lends itself to an enchanting listening experience. Lead single ‘Telephones’ has some lovely harmonies, whilst you’d be forgiven for thinking that ‘Untouchable’ was sung by some big band diva such is the power and rawness that comes out. It’s not all about the vocals though, Mo is a very talented guitarist and this is evident throughout this record.” Jon Sidwell, Music Liberation

With her gentle voice, knack for writing ear-worms and easy-going, amicable stage presence, Mo is a self-contained star who nonetheless emits endearing humility and likability.” Sadie Hale, Flazeda
