DAYLIGHT SAVINGS ~ CLOCKS AHEAD ONE HOUR

Rev. Sarah Skochko

How responsible are we for the behavior of others in our community? We know we can't control others, and yet we also know we are bound to one another, to be held in loving accountability. In this service, we'll meditate on what it means to hold community standards - as well as to challenge them - with historical stories as our guide.

The Rev. Sarah Skochko is a graduate of Meadville Lombard Theological School, and has an MFA in poetry. She served as the Coordinator of Outreach and Engagement at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Eugene, OR and now lives in Austin, TX.

Rev. Dr. Cynthia L. Landrum

Unitarian Universalists sometimes say when explaining that we’re a non-creedal religion, that we are a “covenantal religion.”  What does it mean to be a religion based in covenant?  What is the covenant between us?  This service will explore the meaning of covenant in our faith.

What if to "side with love" meant making bold, faith-full choices? What if it were even a little bit scary? This worship service, created by the UUA for congregations to share, brings together worship leaders and musicians from across the country to offer hopeful, moving, challenging reminders about what we, as Unitarian Universalists, are called to do, and BE, in the world.

We talk in Unitarian Universalism a lot about “building beloved community,” but what does “beloved community” mean to us?  What does it mean to be a beloved community?  We’ll explore the idea on this Sunday
