Dagh Dagh Ujala: This Stained Dawn

Thursday, October 22nd, 2015 - 7:00PM

This lecture and short play focuses on the personal stories of survivors of the violent partition of India and Pakistan in 1947—the largest mass migration in modern history, and one in which over one million lives were lost. The performance is both an attempt to preserve these stories before a generation of survivors is lost, and also educate people in our own country about a world event that has and continues to have enormous ramifications. Exploring White Privilege

Following up on our recent FPC sermon, discussion, and vigil on the subject of Racism in America, the Social Justice Committee is offering a weekly spring program on White Privilege. A Multifaith Vigil Against Racism

Thursday, January 8th, 2015 - 7:00PM

In response to the recent incidents in Ferguson Missouri, Cleveland Ohio and New York City, members of several local congregations, including St. Matthews United Methodist Church in Acton, South Acton Congregational Church,  Boxborough United Church of Christ and The First Parish of Stow and Acton, Unitarian Universalist invite you to join them for a time of witness against racism.
