Rev. Tom Rosiello will return to FPC to investigate this age-old question from a variety of different perspectives, including philosophical, theological, and scientific. He will answer it with the help of a true story told by one of his colleagues about something that happened on the island of Crete many years ago.

The Annual Joint Summer Service this year will be at First Church Unitarian at 19 Foster St in Littleton.
The Rev. Lara Hoke of Littleton will lead worship on the theme “Infinite Faith in Each Other” at the 16th Annual Joint Summer Service of the Harvard, Littleton, Lancaster, Marlborough/Hudson and Stow/Acton UU churches. Molly Lozeau, Music Director of Littleton, will direct the pick-up choir, with all singers welcome and rehearsal beginning at 8:30am.

In a world torn apart by war, authoritarianism, and injustice, what can we possibly do to make any sort of difference? Neil Saunders ponders how we live our lives can be a powerful force for change.

This service will focus around our 1st Principle: The inherent worth and dignity of every person. The First Principle is currently under attack. Members of the Racial Justice Task Force will explore what we, as UUs, are to do.

This service will focus around our 5th Principle: The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large. The service will be led by Spencer Morfit. In following her conscience, Spencer explains how she got more than she bargained for. She shares how her journey challenged her faith and eventually led her to renew it.

Helping our Immigrant Neighbors. We welcome immigration attorney Carlos Nicolas Formaggia as our guest speaker. In FPC's first lay-led summer service of the year, Mr. Formaggia will share the stories of his immigrant family clients. The service will also focus on the role the U.S. has had in creating this migrant crisis; what we can do to assist those seeking asylum here in Massachusetts; and how and why we work toward justice, equity, and compassion in human relations. It will be led by FPC's Supporting Asylum Seekers group. Child care will be provided during the service.
This June is the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Rebellion. This service will share and celebrate the story of the movement for equal rights for LGBTQ people. Rev. Cindy will lead the service. Our annual picnic will follow outside.
