ONE SERVICE AT 10AM in the Sanctuary

Rev. Dr. Cynthia L. Landrum will be preaching.
On Memorial Day our country remembers people who died in active military service. For our service, we're going to expand Memorial Day a bit to remember Unitarian Universalists who served our country throughout history in different ways, from military service to civil rights protests.

Religion has often played a key role in influencing our relationship to the earth: from having “dominion,” to being caretakers, or even partners. What images do we hold? What responsibilities do we have? This service will explore our competing stories about the earth… and the hopes and fears we share going forward.
The Service will be led by members of the FPC Climate Change Task Force.

Sunday, May 12th, 2019

Rev. Dr. Cynthia L. Landrum will be preaching.
Mother's Day is a holiday our culture pays a lot more attention to than Father's Day. The same is often true in our churches, with Father's Day falling during our summer service time. So today we'll talk about and honor parents of all genders, as well as those who are not parents but otherwise mentor and nurture children and youth.

ONE SERVICE AT 11AM in the Sanctuary

What does it mean to be "the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to live in"? Could it be that we are building on something for the generations: past and future? Let us come together to explore our common call to build and rebuild the ruined cities. To restore this world we must come away from the notions of scarcity and the limitations of the moment, and see our life experience as part of a larger chain of causation, each person, taking their rightful place and influencing a small but significant part of the ultimate work effort, which is to say, laying the firm foundations for a new world.
Rev. Daniel Gregoire will be our guest preacher this morning at the one 11AM service.

Sunday, April 21st, 2019

Earth Day is the day after Easter this year. Rev. Cindy will weave together themes of resurrection and rebirth as we celebrate the mystery that is Easter.

VESPERS 7PM IN THE SANCTUARY

Maundy Thursday marks the day of the “Last Supper.” Our vespers service is a time for reflection, prayer, song, and communion as we think about the meaning and importance of community.

Sunday, April 14th, 2019

April’s theme is “wholeness” and a good time to reflect on how we support and embrace people with mental illness and support and embrace people through times of struggle in our community. Rev. Dr. Cynthia Landrum will be preaching.
