This special “Gospel Christmas” Vespers service will featuring Margaret Bonds’s “Ballad of the Brown King” sung by the adult and youth choirs and members of the community. Rehearsals begin November 1st for adults who want to participate, from 7:15 to 8:15 every Thursday evening until the concert. Scientific data demonstrates the benefits of following a plant-based diet. FPC will present the 90 minute film “Forks Over Knives,” an examination of the claim that most degenerative diseases that afflict humanity can be controlled or reversed by rejecting animal-based and processed foods. Calling all FPCers... we need your help to make the 300+ pies for this fall’s Apple Pie Fundraiser! We need apple pickers, peelers, bakers, baggers, and sellers…no experience necessary. Training and comaradarie will be provided! FPC’s apple pies are a long-standing tradition as a fundraiser, fun group project, and culinary delight and require lots of volunteers to make it successful. This is a great way to kick-off the church year, make new friends, and reconnect with old ones.
