The Spiritual Growth and Community Center

A Heart-Centered Space

Changing the World with Love Since 2008!

About Us

The Spiritual Growth and Community Center (SGCC) is the outreach program arm of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in the Assabet Valley, located in Stow, MA. Founded at the Unitarian Church of Marlboro and Hudson (UCMH) in 2008, the SGCC moved to its new home in Stow, following UCMH’s merger with the First Parish Church of Stow and Acton in 2026.

For over seventeen years, the SGCC has been living its mission, providing the Assabet Valley region with high-quality, inspirational programs, classes, and events to awaken curiosity, joy, compassion, and personal growth for the mind, body, and spirit.

Coming Soon:

We're still working on setting up our Gender/ed Exploration Groups, but we are looking forward to hosting:

  • Women’s Red Tent
  • Men’s Circle,
  • Queer/Agender Group meetings

Our Gender definitions:

We believe that trans women are women, without exception.

We believe that trans men are men, without exception.

Gender-expansive, nonbinary, IndigiQueer, or two-spirit people who feel comfortable in/identify with women’s spaces and men's spaces are welcomed and included in our gendered spaces.

When we say "women" and "men" in our programming descriptions, we include all these people.

(This definition adapted from the UU Women's Federation.)
