First Parish Church of Stow & Acton will present a solstice celebration on Sunday, December 17. FPC Music Director Chris Hossfeld will be joined by accompanist Trevor Berens, the FPC Choir, and a special guest, soprano Jessica Tunick Berens. All are welcome.
The event will be a multi-faith service with seasonal music, and will include a rarely-performed choral piece titled “In the Beginning” by Relly Raffman based on a poem by Dylan Thomas. Raffman had a background in jazz, and for many years taught, conducted and composed music at Clark University in Worcester.
The service begins at 5 p.m. and will be held at First Parish Church of Stow & Acton, 353 Great Rd, Stow MA 01775. Admission is free, and masks are optional.
