White Elephant Opens at 9AM!
The Harvest Fair is fast approaching and we need YOU to make this Harvest Fair a success!
Be one of our 80+ volunteers, donate a side dish or baked goodie, a hand-crafted item, gently used jewelry or books or something for the white elephant area but most importantly come and ENJOY a Fall day and CELEBRATE our 140th Fair!!!
We will have the traditional Fair venue this year as well as a few new items. Watch for more details....
The Traditional....
Baked Goods Table We offer home made pies, jams, pickles, sweet breads, yeast breads, coffee cakes, cookies, and much, much more.
We need ......everyone to bring one baked goods item or one homemade jar of jelly or one jar of pickles or one loaf of zucchini or other bread - please feel free to put your creativity to work! If a lot of people contributed one item, it would be most helpful. Drop off Friday night or early Saturday morning.

Books We offer hardcover books, paperbacks, fiction, non-fiction, reference books, cookbooks, travel, sports, poetry, humor, self-help, mysteries, and of course children's books. Plan to update your library...
We need ......books for the Fair! Donate your books to the Fair so they can find a new happy home. (No encyclopedia sets or textbooks). Bring your books to church during the week before the fair (Sept 27-Oct 3) and leave them in Fellowship Hall.

White Elephants: Looking for a treasure you can't live without? Well, we have it! White Elephant Opens at 9AM!
We need ...... your gently used, CLEAN, and UNBROKEN items. These include kitchen implements, knickknacks, mechanical items such as small kitchen tools or tableware, and garden implements, games and toys, wooden/plastic furniture, bikes, etc. PLEASE DO NOT BRING clothes, upholstered furniture, major appliances or exercise equipment. Place items in the shed the week before the Fair. Make sure all items are covered so they don't get wet.

Children's Games Kids Games at the Fair are a great way for children to have fun while the adults browse and spend money.
We need ......Two Youth and one adult volunteers for the 9-11, 11-1 and 1-3 shifts. Email fpcfundraising@gmail.com or call 617-999-9422 if available.
Coffee Stand Coffee, cider, donuts and FPC homemade Apple Pie (pieces or whole pie) will be available. What could be better!

Craft Table: Got someone special? Pick out a special gift for them at the Craft table. We have homemade crafts of all kinds!
We need ...... hand made craft items or used jewelry. Please contact Joanna Hall (978-897-5780) in advance of the Fair if you have items to donate. This will allow the committee enough time to price the items before the day of the Fair.

Lunch Hamburgers, hot dogs, barbequed chicken, sausages, veggie burgers and loads of side dishes. Plan to eat lunch at the Fair under our NEW covered 40' x 20' eating area!
We need ...... Side dishes, Side dishes, Side dishes and more Side dishes. Whatever your specialty is that can be served in reasonable portions like salads (pasta, vegetable, leafy greens, potato, etc.) vegetable casseroles or baked beans (vegetarian and with meat). We need ......3 servers and 1 cashier for each one-hour shift, 11-12, 12-1 and 1-2, for a total of 12 people. The 11-12 shift includes set-up for lunch that starts serving at 11:30 and the 1-2 shift includes break-down from lunch that ends serving at 1:30. Electronic Media and Devices Table Stop by and see what we have! We are sure there is something at our table for you....
We need ...... commercially produced CDs, DVDs, and VHS Tapes and Electronic devices in working condition only. We are looking for Stereos, MP3 players, Radios, electronic gadgets and video games. We can sell Macs newer than 5 years, PCs, scanners and printers newer than 3 years. NO Typewriters, TV sets or CRT tube type monitors. Please don't burden the church with the expense of disposal of you old TVs, computers and electronic devices. Please drop the items off in Fellowship Hall on Friday evening Oct 3rd. Do not put Media Table items in the shed.

We need ......One volunteer for the 9-11, 11-1 and 1-3 shifts
Set-Up White Elephant set-up will start on Thursday the 2nd at noon and Friday at 10AM. Friday evening set-up will start at 6PM and 7AM on Saturday. In general, we will be setting up tables, organizing books, White Elephant donations and anything else needed to get done. Pizza and drinks will be provided on Friday and Coffee and bagels/donuts on Saturday, donations accepted.
We need ......8 volunteers for Thursday and Friday during the day,10 volunteers from 6-9PM Friday and 10 volunteers from 7-10AM Shift on Saturday. Email fpcfundraising@gmail.com or call 617-999-9422 if available.
Clean-Up Clean-up will commence at 3 PM on Saturday. Many hands make light work! We also need help from Acton members with trucks to take remaining White Elephant items to the Acton Transfer Station.

Parking We will be limiting the parking on the FPC campus during the Fair. Where to park? Not a problem, you can park at the Union Church of Stow (317 Great Rd.) a short walk away
We need ...... One volunteer for the 9-11, 11-1 and 1-3 shift to direct FPC members, family, friends and visitors to nearby parking areas. Email fpcfundraising@gmail.com or call 617-999-9422 if available.
This is a family event for FPC and the larger community. As you can see we need YOU to volunteer for a couple shifts. Bring your children, parents and friends. Then enjoy the day, shop, eat lunch and feel good about being part of this FPC fundraiser!
