FPC's 148th HARVEST FAIR

Fall is here.   It is time to celebrate with our annual Harvest Fair.  This great community event has been happening for 148 years and its success and its continuation is all because of you.

Opportunties to help before the fair

Baked Goods Table:  Home-made pies, jams, pickles, breads, coffee cakes, cookies, and much, much more.

We needone donation of a delicious item from everyone. Please label your item and specify dietary information such as “contains nuts” or “gluten-free.” Drop-off Friday night or early Saturday morning.

Books: All types of books!  Big sellers are mysteries, best selling novels and cookbooks.  In addition, DVDs, videos and CDs are also popular. 

We needbook donations (No encyclopedia sets, magazines or textbooks). Books, DVDs and videos can be dropped off in the Fellowship hall after September 30.

Craft Table: Homemade gifts.

We needhand-made items.   Craft items can be brought to the church on the evening of Friday October 6th. If you have any questions please contact Susan Avery at faircrafts@fpc-stow-acton.org.

Jewelry: Classic earrings, pins, necklaces and more. 

We need… earrings, necklaces, bracelets, pins or other items of adornment you no longer wear.  Pieces that need minor repair are acceptable. Broken items and children's jewelry will also be put to good use. Please collect in a small box or bag with your name inside and bring to the Fair table at coffee hour during September.

Toys & Games: Children's toys and games.

We need… like-new games, toys, and puzzles (with all parts and pieces, please).  Drop off Friday night before the Fair, or before 9:30 that Saturday morning.

Lunch: Hamburgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers and loads of side dishes.  Plan to eat lunch at the Fair! 

We needMany yummy side dishes that serve 10-12 such as salads (pasta, vegetable, leafy greens, potato, coleslaw.) vegetable casseroles, or baked beans (vegetarian and with meat). Sign-up to bring a side dish here or at the Fair table at Coffee Hour.

Raffle:  We will have a 50/50 raffle!  Buy a ticket (or a few!) for your chance to win HALF of the total raffle sales!

VOLUNTEER  Opportunities for the day of the Fair. 

Many hands are needed to staff the Fair… Please sign-up early!!  Sign-up now here, or sign-up at coffee hour.

Friday, October 6rd

  • Set-Up 

Saturday, October 7th

  • Set-Up:  8:30 AM
  • Baked Goods Table:  9-11, 11-1 and 1-3 shifts.
  • Books: 9-11, 11-1 and 1-3 shifts.
  • Jewelry: 9-11, 11-1 and 1-3 shifts.
  • Children’s Games: For 9-11, 11-1 and 1-3 shifts (Calling all Youth volunteers!!).
  • Coffee Stand: For 9-11, 11-1 and 1-3 shifts.
  • Craft Table:  For 9-11, 11-1 and 1-3 shifts.
  • Lunch: Servers and a cashier for each one-hour shift, Choose a shift of 1 hour or more - 11-12 (set-up, serve or cashier), 12-1(serve or cashier), 1-2 (serve or cashier) or 2-3 (clean-up).
  • Raffle:  9-11, 11-1 and 1-3 shifts.
  • Parking: 9-11, 11-1 and 1-3 shifts.
  • Clean-Up: From 3-4

This is a family event for FPC and the larger community. Bring your children, parents, neighbors and friends.  Enjoy the day, shop, eat lunch, and feel good about being part of our FPC fundraiser!
