An Evening of Storytelling to Benefit Asylum Seekers

Date and Time:
Saturday, November 16th, 2019 - 7:00PM to 9:00PM

Hearing a true story in a live performance is fun, moving, and transformative. Tonight’s storytelling is coordinated by Fugitive Productions, based in Acton. Fugitive Stories presents “Moth-inspired True Stories Told Live“— non-competitive storytelling events in Acton, Concord, and Arlington. They bring featured storytellers—Moth and Massmouth winners— to tell a true tale alongside community members who may never have shared a story onstage.

Tickets are $20 at or at the door. The money raised from this event will be spent on housing, transportation, food, medical care, legal aid, and bond to release asylum seekers from ICE detention, with a focus on supporting women and children fleeing violence from Central America.

Doors open at 6:30 PM. Appropriate for ages 14+. Desserts, snacks, wine, and beer will be available for sale. For more information email asylumsupport[at]fpc-stow-acton[dot]org.
